In Which Technology Foils The Effect.

Noted this morning: The wimpy little beep heard when an angry person fumbles for and then pokes the "off" button on the cordless phone really doesn't deliver the same message as the old-fashioned method of slamming the phone back into the holder. It's very anticlimactic.

And flipping the bird to the phone was probably pretty ineffective too, huh?

It's fortunate that I can laugh at myself.

I know. But from what I can tell, people are still pretty pissed off that you hung up on them. Therein lies some beauty, huh? huh?

i'm a big fan of ineffective bird flipping. and it makes me laugh at myself every single time.

ok, does it make me need anger management that I will chuck the phone at an unsuspecting wall, just for the satisfying crash?

Perhaps we should all keep a Princess phone in the corner for those times when only a slam will do?

Maybe it's time to return to an age of written correspondence?

I'm a practitioner of the unseen flip off. The computer screen from time to time. Just under the line of vision in the car. Yeah, I'm full of fire in my imagination!

(Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment! I'll be back here again if that's ok!)
